Common questions

The predicted grant date looks off — is the app wrong?
Predictions are approximate. They're built from publicly available Home Affairs processing-time averages, which are themselves rounded into wide buckets. The "Down to earth" date is a p90 estimate, meaning 90% of applications in your subclass are decided by then — your specific case can be faster or slower. Always treat immi.homeaffairs.gov.au as authoritative.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings tab → scroll to Delete all my data. This wipes the local SQLite database and clears every preference stored on the device. There is no cloud backup; the deletion is permanent.
The 88/176 days tab isn't showing.
Days tracking is opt-in. Open Settings → toggle on Track 88/176 days. After enabling, the tab will appear in the tab bar. You can also pick between 88-only / 176-only / both modes from the same screen.
Biometric unlock stopped working.
Open Settings → toggle Biometric lock off, then on again. If that doesn't fix it, confirm Face ID / Touch ID is set up in your device's system settings — the app uses whatever your OS already has enrolled.
I want to back up or move my data to another device.
This isn't supported yet — all data is intentionally device-local with no cloud sync. The best current workaround is to use the per-entry CSV exports and "Export all entries" button on the 88/176 days screen.
The processing times look stale.
They are — the dataset is hand-curated and updated periodically rather than scraped live (Home Affairs publishes processing times on a JavaScript-rendered page that doesn't expose machine-readable data). The "Last verified" date on the predicted-grant card tells you how stale the figure is. Email us if anything is more than a couple of months behind.
